Chicken Butchering Workshop

Have you ever thought about raising your own chickens to provide pasture raised meat for your family? Maybe you want to, but are overwhelmed at the process? Or maybe you don’t have access to enough land, but want to see what it would be like? We’d like to give you the opportunity to attend a workshop on our farm to learn all about it!

Here’s what you can expect:

- A tour of our chicken brooder where we raise the chickens during the first three weeks of their life

- A tour of our chicken tractor and the pasture where the chickens move to fresh grass every day for the last five weeks of their life. That’s right, it only takes 8 weeks to raise a Cornish Cross chicken for a great dinner!

- Chicken butchering demonstration and HANDS ON practice

- Two pasture raised chickens to take home and cook to impress your friends and family
